QUE Plastic Logic eBook Reader

This is one case that proves that the size sometimes is an important point to consider when you are about to take a decision. Check this video and look how nice the newspapers are shown in an e-ink screen of this size. Oh, and on top of that, we are talking about a touch screen too!

ViewSonic VPC08 MID/phone

It seems that the idea of having a full PC and a cell phone, seen for the first time in the HTC Shift, it's coming back in new devices sush as the xpPhone and the VPC08 from ViewSonic.

Unlike the xpPhone the VPC08 is actually an ordinary feature phone with a 2-inch display stuck on top of an Atom Z500-powered 4.3-inch MID.

Speed up Windows 7

Capture There are many articles about this topic but I still find in every new one something from where you can learn few things. From this article I would recommend the point 18 talking about how important is the selection of the right AV to keep the good performance of W7. Coincidentally, I have been testing lately Avira AV, the free version, and so far I agree, it's very fast and the impact on W7 performance is very low.

Microsoft Windows 7 is already a much more responsive operating system than its predecessors, but there are tweaks and changes you can make to speed up Windows 7 even more. By reading this list and implementing some of the suggestions, you can increase performance in a very short period of time. If you have any further suggestions on how to improve the speed of a Windows 7 PC, please let us know in the comments section so that we can keep updating this list.

Freescale New Tablet Design

I don't know how many times I have seen "infidels" writing about the extinction of the Tablet PCs. Probably the same amount of I have read all these years about new Tablet PCs being released. If the Tablet PC design is a fiasco why the company Freescale has just announced  a new device "with a tablet reference design”?. Thinking

The solution is intended to enable a second generation of smartbook products with prices less than $200 and featuring form factors that fully leverage the power, performance and functionality advantages of advanced ARM® processor technology. It is designed to provide instant-on functionality, persistent connectivity and all-day battery life. The tablet will be demonstrated at the 2010 Consumer Electronics Show running both the Android and Linux® operating systems.

Samsung E6

If there is any opportunity of Business, Samsung is there. That's why the news about the release of two eReaders, one of them with a 10 inches screen does not surprise me at all.

Windows 7 God Mode

This is one of the best hacks or tricks that I have seen in a long time. Coming from JKontheRun the trick allows you to have all the options to control your PC with Windows 7 in one folder. Is not that cool?

God Mode is easy to set up too, just do this:

  • Create a new folder anywhere.
  • Rename the folder by pasting this name exactly as it appears (copy it first):
  • GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}
